It is a shallow well or borehole supplied with pumps that bring up to the surface clean water ready to use or drink. A water well can provide a whole village with clean water saving them from diseases such as: cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio and a lot more preventable health risks.

  • It is a shallow well or borehole supplied with pumps that bring up to the surface clean water ready to use or drink.
  • A water well can provide a whole village with clean water saving them from diseases such as: cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio and a lot more preventable health risks.
  • 4,000 children can be saved daily from death if they were given access to clean water, according to UNICEF.
  • 200 million hour can be saved for women and children spend every day collecting water, it is a huge waste of their valuable time where they can use it to study, work or even take care of their families.
  • Also when wells built near schools, it increase attendance.
